Hey Djaaz, it's been a long time.

My hunter is still in Sanctum, though he's dormant (as is my troll hunter now).  I play on Windrunner with RL friends nowadays.  I just come visit the forums every week or two and lurk.

Hello! There are still many of we "original members" still playing WoW, although we aren't all in Sanctum anymore, but many of us still have ALTs in the guild. Sanctum is still active with people leveling up lower level characters, and we still raid twice a week, although it isn't anything set in stone, and we have folks in a few different guilds participating in those raids. Basically we are very casual still, with people playing together when convenient and chatting on Ventrilo as we play. Not much has changed really ... HA! ;-)

You are more than welcome to make a character and rejoin Sanctum anytime you like. If you let us know on here what your character's name is, we can look for you online and invite you, or you can contact any member online while playing and we'll probably have someone that can invite you ASAP to the guild.

Anyway, welcome back to WoW, and hopefully we'll see you in the game soon to have fun with us all again. Be well good Sir!

Hey Sanctum people!  I don't know if anybody actually remember me, I was part of the founding members of the guild back in 2004 and the guy with the weird french-canadian accent...that might help too lol

I just got back to playing WOW again this year, being away from the game for 5 years and I wanted to know what/where the people I knew back then were at right now.

I saw in the guild roster a few names that I could remember, so if you remember me too reply, I had lots of fun playing with you in the past.

I don't know if you accept lowbies in the guild, but if you do, I would surely like to be part of it!  Yeah, I mention lowbie because my old lvl 60 hunter was tired of being a night elf so I switched factions and he's now a lvl 67 tauren...Most of my toons are now on the dark side, but if you don't mind to welcome me into your group again, I would be glad to create a new alliance toon and join the fun, or even switch factions again, who knows!

The board doesn't look very active, the posts are pretty old as I see it, unless I'm unable to go to a member-only section, so if you read this, /salute.

So who else is enjoying StarCraft 2 now that is has finally been released? I went up to Wal-Mart Monday evening, and stayed until midnight to buy the game. I bought the collector's edition, which I normally do NOT do with games, but Blizzard has an excellent reputation for making the collector's editions actually worth the money, so I went ahead and got it. I have not been disappointed in the least!

The game is loads of fun, very similar to the original, but the graphics are outstanding, and the details are very well done as can be expected from a Blizzard game. They have tweaked the game with some nice changes to buildings and units, but kept the game familiar enough that we original StarCraft players feel right at home with this sequel. I am only a handful of missions into the campaign, but what I have played so far is outstanding, and I am pumped to play through the entire thing, and then get going with some multi-player games. I am VERY rusty, and know I am currently at "sucks badly" level of skill, but I'll get back into the groove soon enough.

If anyone else out there wants to get together for some games in the future, just let me know. With the new "friend" system, it makes it much easier to see who is online and meet up for some enjoyable competition. I personally like testing my skills by joining friends for some bot slaughter, and from what I have read, the AI is MUCH better this time around, so the computer players won't be the pushovers like they were in the past. Anyway, if anyone wants to play some SC2, respond in here and we'll get something figured out. Have fun all! ;-)

On March 29th Caster's Realm will go poof.  Figured I'd at least note it, since it helped played a part in the creation of the guild.

I managed to win a copy and downloaded the game and installed it yesterday (took about 8 hours total).

I made a cleric on Lumiel and got it to 10 last night.  Not sure if I'll keep playing after my free month is up, but it's a pretty decent game so far.

The few things I don't like about it are:
If you turn while casting it stops casting, I imagine pvp must be a bitch for casters.
Every hour you are on it suggests you take a break, I've been known to play games for 16 hours straight.  This annoys me.

Yar its a fun game, Darshar has a Elyos cleric on Trininel (named Darshar of course!). the PvE side of it is pretty fun, havent done much pvp. Tad bit of grinding here and there, though really just depends on whether you group often or not.
Darshar probably be on that server till Old Republic comes out! If anyone is interested in joining Darshar of course.

It's billed as a PvPvE game. Two playable realms, with an NPC third realm. Basic premise is that the world was sundered in two halves. Those on one side got all of the sunlight, Elyos. Those on the other received none, Asmodian. They each have part of a gate that is slowly destroying the world. Neither is noble enough to destroy their own to save the other, so they fight to destroy the other side instead.

Many DaoC concepts at work here. The Abyss is a Frontier. There are Keeps and Relics to fight over. PVP can be seen as early as 18ish for semi-consentual PvP in your PvE land. You can go to the Abyss and PvE there, and fight the other side at 25+.

The NPC realm, the Balaur, attack whoever they want in the Abyss. They take back keeps and such, or will show up while you're fighting the other realm.

Gear is earned, from best to worst:

1. PvP
2. Crafting
3. Dungeons

The combat is similar to DaoC as well. It has openers, and chains. Graphics are anime-ish. The client runs very smoothly, ala WoW.

The crafting system is gather resources from the world, ala WoW, make parts, then put parts together. You can "crit" to make a better version of some of the items. You can take all of the crafts on one character from 1-399. You can only take one of them from 400-450 (Expert Crafting).

The PvE is pretty vanilla. The first dungeon is 27 - 40. I tanked it at 28. With a good group, it's a 30 minute clear, and can be reset and run over and over. It's the best experience from 30 - 40. There are higher level dungeons, but I only played through 35 during Chinese retail. Almost everything is Tank and Spank in PvE. It's a Korean MMO, so it's a tad grindy in the mid-20s on up. The fun of this game should come from PvP.

Hi folks,

If any of you are looking to play Aion, I'll be forming a guild on Lumiel (EST server) on the Asmodian side. Send a PM along if you're interested in playing.
